MARYSTOWN, N.L. – A 59-year-old Marystown man has been airlifted to the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s following what police are calling a “physical altercation.”
The man’s injuries are life-threatening and he is reported to be in serious but stable condition, a RCMP release issued on Friday, July 6 stated.
According to information the RCMP filed with Grand Bank Provincial Court, 57-year-old Clayton Joseph Organ has been charged with aggravated assault and uttering a death threat. The alleged assault occurred in Marystown on Thursday, July 5, while Organ, whose address is listed as St. Alban's in the court document, allegedly made the threat in Terrenceville on the same day.
He is being held in police custody until a bail hearing on Tuesday morning, July 10.
